Description

19 Oct – 26 Nov 1965
A conflict simulation re‐enacting the battles of October and November 1965 in the Central Highlands of VietNam.

"Plei Me 1965" is a two player wargame simulation recreating the actions of the US 1st Cavalry Division (airmobile) in the Pleiku province of South Vietnam during October and November 1965. The NVA B3 Front had an audacious plan to split South Vietnam in two with a strike through the central highlands, if it wasn’t for the intervention of America’s latest formation in airmobile warfare they could have very well succeeded. The Campaign had many varying types of force engagement; sieges, ambushes, running battles and whole unit encirclements.
The simulation is meant to reflect the uncertainties in jungle fighting and the rapidly changing situations involved with airmobile operations.
